The Silver AMS 7G is designed to add the overhead dimension required for an immersive Dolby Atmos® system. Its upward-firing configuration reflects sound from the ceiling, allowing compatible movie and music content to create the perception of sounds originating above the listener.
Its 5.25-inch C-CAM RST II mid-bass driver provides controlled and detailed reproduction, while the 1-inch C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter handles high-frequency information with the help of an optimized waveguide. Together, the drivers provide the clarity and dispersion needed for convincing height effects.
The sealed cabinet is specifically shaped to integrate with the Silver Series 7G range. Monitor Audio designed the AMS 7G to sit directly on top of the Silver 300 7G speakers, while its wraparound grille helps the module visually blend with the main speaker. It can also be used on compatible front and/or rear speakers in systems using two or four Dolby Atmos® enabled modules.
With 87 dB sensitivity, 8-ohm nominal impedance, and 30–60 watts of recommended amplification, the Silver AMS 7G is easy to integrate into a wide range of AV systems. Used alongside Silver Series 7G speakers, it adds a dedicated vertical dimension that makes movie soundtracks and immersive music more spacious, realistic, and engaging.
