The KEF Reference 5 Meta is a flagship floorstanding loudspeaker from KEF’s Reference series, designed to deliver the highest level of accuracy, transparency, and dynamic control for critical listening environments. It is intended for reference stereo systems and premium home theater installations where absolute sonic fidelity is required.

At its core, it features KEF’s Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which dramatically reduces unwanted high-frequency resonance. This results in exceptional clarity, improved spatial precision, and a more natural, uncolored presentation across the entire frequency range.

The four 6.5-inch hybrid aluminum bass drivers provide deep, controlled low-frequency performance with outstanding speed and articulation. This allows the Reference 5 Meta to reproduce complex musical and cinematic material with both impact and refinement.

Its heavily engineered cabinet uses constrained-layer damping and advanced internal bracing to eliminate unwanted vibrations and coloration. The result is a loudspeaker that delivers extreme neutrality, reference-grade detail retrieval, and a vast, holographic soundstage.
