The Sonos In-Wall Speakers by Sonos and Sonance are passive architectural speakers designed to deliver bold, focused sound while blending discreetly into the room. Developed in collaboration with Sonance, they provide a built-in audio solution for music, television, and whole-home listening without taking up floor or shelf space.
Each speaker combines a 6.5-inch high-excursion polypropylene woofer with a 1-inch tweeter, producing a balanced presentation across the mid, low, and high frequencies. With a frequency response of 44 Hz to 20 kHz and 89 dB sensitivity, the speakers are designed to deliver detailed, room-filling sound when properly amplified.
When paired with Sonos Amp, the In-Wall speakers benefit from Sonos-specific DSP and Trueplay tuning. Trueplay measures the room's acoustics and adjusts the system accordingly, while Sonos Amp's Optimise Speakers feature provides custom tuning for Sonos Architectural speakers.
The discreet grilles can be painted to match the surrounding wall, creating a seamless architectural appearance. The speakers can be used as a stereo pair, incorporated into a Sonos multi-room system, or integrated into a home theater setup, making them a versatile solution for custom residential installations
