The NAD CI 980 is a professional-grade eight-channel power amplifier designed specifically for custom installation and whole-home audio applications. Its compact 1U rack-mount chassis houses eight channels of efficient HybridDigital™ Class D amplification, delivering reliable, high-quality performance while generating minimal heat, making it ideal for equipment racks and multi-room installations.

Each of the eight channels provides 50 watts of continuous power into 8-ohm speakers, offering ample performance for distributed audio systems throughout the home or commercial spaces. For installations requiring additional power, adjacent channel pairs can be bridged to deliver up to 100 watts per channel, providing greater flexibility for larger speakers or more demanding listening areas.

The CI 980 features four stereo RCA inputs with corresponding loop outputs, allowing signals to be distributed to multiple amplifiers when expanding larger systems. Independent input assignment, automatic signal sensing, and a 12-volt trigger input simplify installation while ensuring seamless integration with preamplifiers, streaming sources, and whole-home control systems.
