The Matrix Audio ND-1 is a reference-grade digital-to-analog converter designed for audiophiles who demand uncompromising digital playback. At its core is AKM's flagship conversion platform, combining the AK4191EQ digital modulator with dual AK4499EX DAC chips in a true dual-mono architecture. This configuration, paired with an ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clock, delivers exceptional channel separation, extremely low distortion, and remarkable transparency across the entire frequency range.

The ND-1 offers extensive connectivity with USB, AES/EBU, optical, coaxial, and IIS-LVDS inputs, supporting ultra-high-resolution PCM and Native DSD playback. A built-in 100-step digital volume control allows the DAC to connect directly to power amplifiers or active speakers, while selectable Transformer and Op-Amp output modes let listeners tailor the sonic character to their preferences.

Designed with separate digital and analog circuit boards, a linear toroidal power supply, and Matrix Audio's MA-DAMPER PRO vibration isolation system, the ND-1 minimizes noise and interference at every stage of the signal path.
