The Focal Sopra N°2 is a premium 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional transparency, dynamics, and musicality in a relatively compact cabinet. It combines two 7-inch “W” cone woofers, a dedicated 6.5-inch “W” cone midrange, and a pure Beryllium tweeter to provide deep, controlled bass, highly natural vocals, and exceptionally detailed high frequencies.
The dedicated midrange incorporates Focal’s TMD® suspension and NIC motor technologies, helping reduce distortion and improve neutrality and definition. The two 7-inch woofers use NIC magnetic circuits and Focal’s “W” sandwich cone technology to deliver powerful yet controlled low-frequency reproduction, extending down to 28 Hz at -6 dB.
At the top end, the 27 mm pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter uses Focal’s IHL (Infinite Horn Loading) technology to progressively absorb the rear wave and reduce distortion. Its response extends to 40 kHz, contributing to exceptional microdetail, transient precision, and an open, spacious soundstage.
The Sopra N°2 also features Focal’s Focus Time architecture, which tilts the upper and lower cabinets to improve acoustic convergence at the listening position. Its rigid anti-vibration cabinet, tempered-glass base, decoupling spikes, and magnetic grilles combine sophisticated engineering with a refined French-made design, making it an excellent choice for high-end stereo systems and premium home theaters.
