Monitor Audio Platinum 100 3G

The Platinum 100 3G is the compact standmount model in Monitor Audio's Platinum Series 3G, designed to provide a high-end listening experience without the physical footprint of a floorstanding speaker. Its new 6-inch RDT III mid-bass driver combines rigidity and low mass to deliver accurate bass and midrange reproduction with impressive clarity and scale.

For high-frequency reproduction, the Platinum 100 3G uses the MPD III transducer, designed to provide exceptionally extended and detailed treble response. Working alongside the RDT III driver, it creates a precise and coherent presentation with excellent imaging, transparency, and tonal detail across a very wide frequency range.

The rear bass-reflex port is tuned to 44 Hz and contributes to the speaker's strong low-frequency performance, with an in-room response extending down to 28 Hz. Despite its compact dimensions, the Platinum 100 3G is capable of producing substantial scale and dynamics, making it suitable for demanding two-channel systems as well as high-performance home theater applications.

With 85 dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm nominal impedance, and recommended amplification of 75–300 watts, the Platinum 100 3G is designed to pair with high-quality amplification capable of delivering sufficient current.
