The Gold W12 is designed to provide the low-frequency foundation for Monitor Audio's Gold Series, adding depth and impact without compromising musical precision. Its 12-inch C-CAM driver uses a long-throw design and triple suspension to maintain control during demanding passages, while the two ABRs increase bass output and extension without requiring a conventional port.
Its 600-watt Class-D amplifier provides substantial power reserves for both music and home theater. The combination of high-current amplification and the long-throw driver allows the Gold W12 to reproduce demanding low-frequency passages with authority while maintaining speed and definition.
A sophisticated DSP platform gives the Gold W12 extensive tuning capabilities. Users can select Music, Movie, Impact, or custom EQ profiles, adjust the low-pass filter and phase, configure night mode, and create multiple user presets. The included Automatic Position Correction system can also help optimize performance for the subwoofer's placement within the room.
Designed to complement high-end Gold Series loudspeakers, the Gold W12 combines substantial bass capability with flexible system integration. Balanced and unbalanced LFE connections, stereo inputs and outputs, 12V trigger functionality, remote control, and SubConnect software make it suitable for sophisticated two-channel and multichannel systems alike.
