The Bronze 500 is designed for listeners looking for the scale and authority of a floorstanding speaker without moving into a significantly larger or more expensive product category. Its two 8-inch C-CAM mid-bass drivers provide substantial low-frequency output and dynamic impact, making it particularly well suited to larger rooms and demanding music or movie playback.
The 1-inch C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter is integrated with Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide to provide controlled dispersion and detailed high-frequency reproduction. The 2.5-way crossover architecture allows the drivers to operate within optimized frequency ranges, helping produce a cohesive soundstage with clear vocals, precise imaging, and natural instrumental detail.
For low-frequency performance, the Bronze 500 uses Monitor Audio's dual HiVe II port system. The ports are designed to improve airflow and transient response, while the large C-CAM drivers provide powerful and controlled bass. With an in-room response extending to approximately 32 Hz and a maximum SPL of 116 dBA per pair, the speaker has the output capability needed for both serious stereo listening and home theater.
The Bronze 500 is also designed for flexible system integration. Its 8-ohm nominal impedance and recommended amplification range of 60–200 watts make it compatible with a wide variety of amplifiers, while bi-wire terminals provide additional connection options. Bronze AMS Dolby Atmos® modules can be placed on top of the speakers to add height channels, allowing the Bronze 500 to serve as part of an immersive home theater system as well as a high-performance stereo setup.
