Focal Kanta N°3

The Focal Kanta N°3 is the reference floorstanding loudspeaker in the Kanta range, designed for demanding high-fidelity stereo and premium home theater systems. Its 3-way architecture combines two 8-inch Flax woofers, a dedicated 6.5-inch Flax midrange, and Focal’s IAL3 pure Beryllium tweeter to deliver deep bass, exceptional midrange neutrality, and highly detailed high frequencies.

The two 8-inch woofers provide powerful and articulate low-frequency reproduction, extending down to 26 Hz at -6 dB. The Flax cone technology combines lightness, rigidity, and damping, while the NIC motor helps maintain a stable magnetic field for precise, controlled reproduction. The dedicated midrange incorporates TMD® suspension and NIC technology for improved neutrality and definition.

At the top end, the 27 mm IAL3 pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter extends the response to 40 kHz and is designed to reproduce subtle musical details with exceptional precision. Focal’s Focus Time design aligns the drivers acoustically, while the high-density polymer front panel and molded multi-ply cabinet help reduce unwanted resonances and diffraction.

The Kanta N°3 also combines its advanced acoustic engineering with a distinctive contemporary design. Its PowerFlow multi-port system uses front and rear ports for extended bass performance, while the Zamak base, glass plate, magnetic grille, and premium cabinet finishes create a sophisticated aesthetic. Focal recommends the Kanta N°3 for listening rooms of approximately 40–80 m².
