The Focal Kanta N°2 is a premium 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for demanding high-fidelity listening. It combines two 6.5-inch Flax woofers, a dedicated 6.5-inch Flax midrange, and Focal’s IAL3 pure Beryllium tweeter to deliver a precise, detailed, warm, and highly musical presentation.
The Flax drivers combine lightness, rigidity, and damping for controlled and natural reproduction. The dedicated midrange incorporates Focal’s TMD® suspension and NIC motor technologies, helping improve neutrality and reduce unwanted distortion, while the two woofers provide deep, articulated bass extension down to 29 Hz.
The 27 mm IAL3 pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter extends high-frequency response to 40 kHz and is designed to reproduce fine musical details with exceptional precision. Focal’s Focus Time design positions the drivers for optimized acoustic coherence, while the high-density polymer front panel contributes to a rigid, inert baffle and improved definition.
The Kanta N°2 combines its advanced acoustic engineering with a distinctive contemporary cabinet. Its molded multi-ply enclosure, Power Flow multi-port technology, Zamak base, glass plate, and magnetic grilles create a sophisticated aesthetic while supporting powerful and controlled performance. Focal recommends the speaker for rooms up to approximately 30 m², while it can also perform effectively in larger rooms up to around 60 m².
