CD5 CD Player

The ARCAM CD5 is designed to deliver a high-quality Compact Disc listening experience using technology developed through decades of digital audio engineering. Since introducing the Delta 70 CD player in 1986, ARCAM has remained focused on extracting the highest level of performance from the CD format, and that experience forms the foundation of the CD5.

At the heart of the player is an ESS ES9018 digital-to-analog converter, selected for its ability to reproduce music with clarity, detail, and accuracy. The CD5 supports playback of standard CDs as well as CD-R and CD-RW discs, allowing users to enjoy both commercial releases and personal music collections.

In addition to disc playback, the CD5 supports high-resolution FLAC and WAV files from USB storage devices, providing greater flexibility for listeners with locally stored digital music libraries. Analog RCA outputs and both coaxial and optical digital outputs allow integration with a wide range of audio systems and external DACs.

Part of ARCAM's Radia series, the CD5 combines modern industrial design with dedicated CD playback performance, making it an ideal companion for Radia amplifiers and other high-quality two-channel audio systems.

Digital playback is handled by the ESS ES9280A Pro DAC, providing high-resolution audio capability from connected digital sources. Coaxial, optical, and HDMI eARC inputs allow seamless integration with streamers, CD transports, televisions, and other modern components.

Wireless connectivity is provided through Bluetooth 5.4 with Snapdragon Sound technology, supporting high-quality audio transmission and advanced codec compatibility. Auracast functionality enables compatible devices to receive shared audio broadcasts for flexible listening applications.

For vinyl playback, the A25+ includes a dedicated moving magnet phono stage engineered to maximize performance from turntable sources. Combined with its extensive connectivity, Class G amplifier platform, and premium Radia series design, the A25+ serves as a high-performance centerpiece for contemporary two-channel audio systems.
