To complement the NEW AVM 90 and 70 A/V Processors, Anthem introduces the new MCA 525, 325, and 225 GEN 2 power amplifiers. These new MCA amplifiers, available in 5, 3, and 2-channel configurations, feature more robust and efficient power and heavy-duty reliability. The new MCA Series delivers lower THD (total harmonic distortion) for cleaner, pure sound and lower noise for a supremely quiet background.

The MCA 525 GEN 2, MCA 325 GEN 2, and MCA 225 GEN 2, designed and Crafted in Canada, are like no other amplifiers in the world: custom low noise high-power toroidal transformers; high-current bipolar output transistors; high-quality filter capacitors; advanced power supply regulators; oversized aluminum heatsinks; custom-designed dual binding posts; and patented auto-on/off circuitry. Superior craftsmanship that is reflected in clean, clear, audiophile-quality sound from top to bottom of the frequency spectrum.

The Anthem MCA 525 Gen 2 is a five-channel power amplifier designed for high-performance home theater systems requiring substantial power delivery and precise loudspeaker control. Built around a fully discrete Class AB topology, it delivers 225 watts per channel into 8 ohms with all channels driven, while remaining stable into demanding low-impedance speaker loads.

At the core of the amplifier are dual low-noise toroidal transformers and a high-current output stage utilizing eight bipolar output devices per channel. This architecture is engineered to provide excellent dynamic headroom, strong channel separation, and consistent performance during demanding movie soundtracks and complex musical passages.

The Gen 2 design incorporates shorter signal paths, reduced internal cabling, upgraded power supply regulation, and high-quality filter capacitors to minimize noise and improve overall efficiency. Combined with a signal-to-noise ratio of 120dB, these refinements contribute to a clean, transparent presentation with an exceptionally quiet background.

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs provide flexibility for integration with AV processors and preamplifiers, while Anthem's Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) system continuously monitors temperature, current, and voltage to ensure reliable long-term operation. Designed and manufactured in Canada, the MCA 525 Gen 2 serves as a dedicated amplification solution for premium multi-channel audio and home cinema installations.
