The Monitor Audio Gold 200 5G is a premium 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver a highly detailed, dynamic, and expansive listening experience. It combines two 6.5-inch RDT II long-throw bass drivers, a dedicated 2.5-inch C-CAM midrange driver, and Monitor Audio's MPD high-frequency transducer, bringing technologies developed for the flagship Platinum II Series into the Gold range.

Its slim cabinet incorporates a dual HiVe II bass-reflex port system and rigid construction designed to minimize unwanted resonance. The Gold 200 also features premium magnetic grilles, cast-metal outrigger feet, bi-wire terminals, and a range of high-end finishes, making it suitable for both demanding two-channel systems and premium home theaters.

The Gold 200 is the most compact floorstanding model in Monitor Audio's Gold 5G range, but it is designed to provide the scale and authority expected from a serious high-end loudspeaker. Its three-way architecture separates bass, midrange, and high-frequency reproduction, allowing each driver to operate within an optimized frequency range for greater clarity and precision.

The two 6.5-inch RDT II bass drivers use Monitor Audio's advanced sandwich-cone construction, combining C-CAM, a Nomex honeycomb core, and woven carbon-fibre technology. This provides a rigid yet lightweight diaphragm capable of delivering fast, controlled bass with low distortion, while the dual HiVe II ports improve airflow and transient response.

A dedicated 2.5-inch C-CAM midrange driver handles the critical vocal and instrumental frequencies, while the MPD high-frequency transducer delivers extended, detailed treble reproduction. The 650 Hz and 3.5 kHz crossover points allow the three driver sections to work together smoothly, creating a coherent and spacious soundstage with precise imaging.

With 88 dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm nominal impedance, and 200-watt power handling, the Gold 200 benefits from high-quality amplification capable of delivering strong current.
