The KEF Ci5120QLM-THX is a high-performance in-wall loudspeaker designed for premium custom installation home theaters. It belongs to KEF’s Ci-Q series and carries THX Certified Ultra status, meaning it is engineered to deliver reference-level cinematic output with controlled distortion and consistent performance in medium to large listening environments.
At its core, it uses KEF’s 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array, which places the tweeter at the acoustic center of the midrange driver. This point-source configuration improves imaging precision and ensures a wide, even sound dispersion across the listening area, making it highly effective for multi-seat theater setups.
A key feature of this model is the integration of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which absorbs a large portion of unwanted high-frequency resonance inside the driver. This results in cleaner treble reproduction, improved detail retrieval, and a more natural overall tonal balance, especially at higher listening levels.
The Ci5120QLM-THX is also built for dynamic headroom, using four dedicated 120 mm woofers to deliver strong low-frequency output without distortion.
