The Focal Sopra N°1 is a premium 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional high-fidelity performance from a compact enclosure. It combines a 6.5-inch W cone midrange/bass driver with a pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter, offering a highly detailed, transparent, and spacious presentation with impressive bass articulation.
The W cone driver incorporates Focal’s TMD® suspension and NIC motor technologies to improve control, reduce distortion, and enhance midrange neutrality. The result is precise reproduction of vocals and instruments, with a full and articulate low-frequency register despite the speaker’s relatively compact size.
The pure Beryllium tweeter uses Focal’s patented Infinite Horn Loading (IHL) technology, which progressively absorbs the rear wave of the tweeter to improve definition and reduce distortion. Its extended response up to 40 kHz contributes to excellent microdetail, transient accuracy, and a remarkably open soundstage.
The Sopra N°1 is manufactured in France and features a rigid, carefully finished cabinet designed to minimize unwanted vibrations. It can be placed on furniture or paired with Focal’s dedicated 61 cm Sopra Stand, making it a versatile choice for high-end stereo systems where both exceptional sound and sophisticated design are important.
