The ARCAM ST5 is designed as the dedicated streaming source within the Radia series. Its slim chassis incorporates a communication link that allows compatible Radia amplifiers to operate together as a unified system, simplifying control while maintaining separate power supplies and isolated circuitry for improved performance.
Network connectivity is available through either Wi-Fi or Ethernet, providing access to a broad range of music services and streaming technologies. The ST5 supports Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect, while Roon Ready certification enables seamless integration into advanced music library systems.
Digital audio is processed by an ESS ES9018 high-resolution DAC featuring time-domain jitter elimination technology. Support for audio resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz and compatibility with formats including FLAC, WAV, ALAC, AIFF, MQA, and DSD128 allow the ST5 to reproduce high-resolution music from both streaming platforms and local storage devices.
Analog RCA outputs are provided for direct connection to integrated amplifiers, while optical and coaxial digital outputs allow use with external digital-to-analog converters. Combined with its extensive streaming support and Radia system integration, the ST5 serves as a versatile digital music source for modern two-channel audio systems.
